Cellulase is a hydrolytic enzyme produced by fermentation of a selected strain of Trichoderma reesei. Cellulase breaks the 1, 4-beta-D-glycosidic linkages and converts native cellulose as well as derived celluloses to glucose which is easily digested, and this assists in digesting cellulosic products. This is a white to off-white powder with NLT 100,000 CU/g.
