Eggshell membrane is naturally extracted with soft mechanical action, cleaned with water, dried and
milled. The powder is suitable for use in capsules ≤ 300 mg, it is also suitable for use in energy bars and cereals.
Typically egg membrane contains:
35% Collagen, 2% Chondroitin sulphate, 2% Glucosaminoglycans, 2% Hyaluronic acid, 1% Queratan & Dermatan sulphate, 3.5% Lysozyme. It also contains other components like Insulin like growth factor (IGF-1), transforming growth factor (TGF- β), desmosin, isodesmosin, elastin, ovocalixin, ovotransferrin and other amino acids.
