  • Background

    Rhuleave-K is a blend of Boswellia Serrata Extract (5 to 10%) and Turmeric Extract (25-30%) combined in black sesame oil (60 -70%)
    Boswellia serrata (Frankincense) is a tree genus recognized for its fragrant resin and health benefits and is also one of the most highly valued Ayurvedic herbs in ancient history. (Sharma et al., 2004). The oldest written document referencing Boswellia serrata as a drug is Papyrus Ebers, which was written around 1500 BC. Boswellic acid (BA) is one of the active ingredients extracted from the plant's gum resins.
    Turmeric (Curcuma longa), an important commercial spice, is widely used today as a dietary ingredient. It is also known as the miraculous herb because of its therapeutic and medicinal effects on a variety of illnesses (Akhila et al., 2004). Turmeric’s distinctive yellow colour is due to bioactive "curcuminoids" present in the plant's rhizome, which is recognized for its multiple pharmacological properties (Amalraj et al., 2020).
    Black sesame oil: Black sesame seeds are small, flat, oily seeds grown in the fruit pods of the Sesamum indicum plant, which is well-known for its various uses. Because of its high quality, black sesame oil is commonly known as the "queen of oilseeds" (Bedigian et al., 1985, 1986). It also possesses anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties that aid in the reduction of pain (Shaheen & Alsenosy, 2019).

    Safety & Purity

    Rhuleave-K, a proprietary botanical formula, has been clinically proven to provide immediate pain relief comparable to popular OTC medications. Curcuminoids and Boswellia are combined in a high-dissolution composition bound together by a black sesame oil base. The formula contains natural actives produced through a patented process using SPEED technology to maintain efficacy and has been shown to be safe even at high dosages.

  • Health Benefits

    Curcuma longa and Boswellia serrata extracts have been shown in clinical studies to have a variety of health benefits (Murthy et al., 2022). These active ingredients are individually potent and possess powerful anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant properties. Recent studies on the therapeutic potential of curcumin against COVID-19 (Zapanta et al., 2022) and the evaluation of bioactive compounds from Boswellia serrata against SARS-CoV-2 (Roy & Menon, 2021) highlight the importance of these bioactive compounds. The primary health benefits of Rhuleave-K are as follows;

    Pain Relief

    The proprietary formulation of C. longa extract, B. serrata extract and black sesame oil extract show superior pain-relieving properties. They are also both safe and natural alternatives compared to commonly used over-the-counter medications (Rudrappa et al., 2020).
    Curcumin and Boswellia work hand in hand to alleviate pain. Curcumin has been shown to inhibit the cyclooxygenase (COX) pathway, whereas Boswellia inhibits the pain-inducing lipoxygenase (LOX) pathway. Together, they block both major pain pathways

    Joint Health

    Curcumin and Boswellic acids possess anti-arthritic properties and are both effective and safe in improving functional status in osteoarthritis patients, resulting in improved joint function. (Pinzon & Wijaya, 2019). In addition, they have a great safety profile and are well-tolerated compared to non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (Taslim, 2019). A clinical trial found that Boswellia serrata, acts synergistically to exert anti-inflammatory/ antiarthritic activity, resulting in reduced joint pain with no side effects, thereby supporting the pharmacological safety of Boswellia for the treatment of knee osteoarthritis. (Majeed et al., 2019).

    Reduced Inflammation

    Boswellia serrata and Curcuma longa are amongst the promising herbal drugs. Research has shown that curcumin is a highly pleiotropic molecule that reduces inflammation by interacting with a variety of inflammatory processes (Prashar et al., 2011). The resinous part of Boswellia serrata contain bioactive boswellic acids which possess an inhibitory effect on the inflammatory process. (Siddiqui, 2011).
